1. Who is responsible?
The controller for data processing on this website is:
Tim Collet
Moselstraße 20
54290 Trier, Germany
Phone: +49 172 6299975
Email: info@tim-collet.de
If you have any question about your data, just email me.
2. The short version
This website has no contact form, no newsletter, no analytics and no ad trackers. Fonts and design load from this website's own server. No data goes to Google.
Data is only processed:
- when you visit the website (technical server data, see section 3),
- when you email or call me (section 4),
- when you load the booking calendar on the contact page and book a call (section 5).
3. Hosting with Netlify
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. in the USA. When you open a page, Netlify automatically processes:
- your IP address
- the date and time
- the page you opened
- the website you came from (referrer)
- your browser and operating system
Purpose: To deliver the website and protect it from attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is a safe and stable website.
How long: Netlify keeps this data for a limited time only and then deletes it automatically.
Transfer to the USA: Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so the European Commission's adequacy decision applies (Art. 45 GDPR). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Netlify.
More: Netlify's privacy policy.
The connection to this website is encrypted with SSL/TLS. You can tell by the padlock and "https://" in the address bar.
4. Contact by email or phone
When you email or call me, I process what you give me. For example your name, email address or phone number and what you need.
Purpose: To answer you.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR when it is about coaching or a question about coaching. Otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is answering messages.
How long: I delete the data once your request is dealt with, unless tax or commercial law says I must keep it longer.
5. Booking with Calendly
You can book a call on the contact page. I use Calendly for this. The provider is Calendly LLC in the USA.
The calendar only loads after you click. Until then, no data goes to Calendly. When you click "Load calendar", your browser connects to Calendly. Calendly then receives your IP address and details about your browser. Calendly may also use cookies or similar technology on your device.
Legal basis for loading: Your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. Your consent only covers that one page visit. If you reload the page, the calendar does not load again on its own. You can withdraw consent at any time for the future: reload the page and, if you like, clear the cookies in your browser.
When you book, you give Calendly your name, email address, the time you chose and your answers on the booking form. I receive this data to plan and hold the call with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Health data: You may tell me about your health when you book or during a call. That is your choice. I only use it to judge whether and how I can help you. The legal basis is your explicit consent under Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, which you give by telling me. You can withdraw it at any time.
How long: I delete booking data once I no longer need it for the call or for working together, unless the law says I must keep it.
Transfer to the USA: Calendly is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so the European Commission's adequacy decision applies (Art. 45 GDPR). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Calendly.
More: Calendly's privacy notice. Rather not use Calendly? Email me and we will find a time that way.
6. Online calls by video
Online calls take place by video. I mostly use Google Meet (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland) and sometimes Zoom (Zoom Communications, Inc., USA). Your name, IP address, picture and sound are transmitted.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, because the video call is part of the call or coaching.
Transfer to the USA: Google and Zoom may also process data in the USA. Both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so the European Commission's adequacy decision applies (Art. 45 GDPR).
More: Google's privacy policy and Zoom's privacy statement.
7. Recording calls
I record some calls so I can review them later. I only do this if you agree first. I ask you at the start of the call. If you say no, I record nothing, and that has no downside for you.
I use Fathom for recording. The provider is Fathom Video Inc. in the USA. Fathom stores the recording and makes a transcript from it. Fathom is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so the European Commission's adequacy decision applies (Art. 45 GDPR). More: Fathom's privacy policy.
Legal basis: Your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where health comes up, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time and I will delete the recording.
8. Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. Cookies can only appear if you load the Calendly calendar (see section 5).
9. Your rights
You have these rights at any time:
- Access to the data I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Correction of wrong data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent, for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where I process data under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. I will then stop, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds to continue.
To use any of these rights, just email me.
Right to complain: You can complain to a data protection authority. The one responsible for me is the Data Protection Commissioner of Rhineland-Palatinate.
10. Do you have to give me data?
No. You can use this website without telling me who you are. To book a call, I do need your name and a way to reach you. I make no automated decisions about you and build no profile of you.
11. Changes
If the website or the law changes, I will update this policy. The version on this page always applies.
